Harmony House Announces Open House Event at New Home Location
In Coordination with The Black Economic Wellness Coalition of Akron (BEWCA), Truly Reaching You, Third Federal Foundation, and 100 Women Strong
Akron, Ohio – April 11, 2025 – Harmony House, a dedicated shelter for youth ages 18 to 24, is excited to announce an Open House event to celebrate its new home at 907 S. Hawkins Avenue, Akron, OH. This special occasion is made possible through a collaborative effort with the Third Federal Foundation, the Black Economic Wellness Coalition of Akron (BEWCA), Truly Reaching You, and 100 Women Strong OHIO. The event will take place on May 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the community is invited to come learn more about the organization's new space and the vital services it provides to young people in need.
As a leading nonprofit, Harmony House has been serving the Akron community by providing shelter, resources, and support specifically to youth ages 18 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. With this new location, Harmony House is poised to expand its efforts and better serve this important demographic.
The Open House will feature guided tours of the new space, showcasing the facility’s enhancements that will allow Harmony House to accommodate more youth. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with key staff members, community partners, and volunteers who make this work possible.

This event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend and learn about the impactful work Harmony House is doing in the Akron community. Light refreshments will be served, and parking is available at the venue.
In addition to attending the event, community members are welcome to support Harmony House through donations or by bringing items such as toiletries, non-perishable food, and household supplies. Contributions like this help sustain our mission and directly benefit the youth we serve.
